In general formulas are quite well tolerated, due to the custom nature there's a lot of variation in what you may feel while taking your formula. Here are some things you may notice:
- Increased energy: Depending on the makeup of your formula you may notice an increase in energy. It's advisable to take your formula in the morning when starting, this will ensure you don't disrupt your sleep.
- Stomach discomfort: This is rare but can happen if you're not used to higher doses of Magnesium, Probiotics, Methylfolate or Vitamin C. Starting with a lower dose, or dividing your dose, can allow your body to get used to your new formula. It's also recommended to take your formula with food to avoid potential stomach upset.
- Headaches or irritability: This can happen when starting Methylfolate for the first time, it's recommended to start with a lower dose of 200-400mcg. Most people can gradually build up a tolerance to higher dosages if needed. If you do experience side effects from Methylfolate we recommend discussing the benefits and side effects with your physician so they can assist with determining the correct dose.
